Creating new tribes one hive at a time

     Greetings Fellow Earthlings! At present we are facing a huge problem here on Planet Earth, which is the potential extinction of the Apis Mellifera, also known as the Honeybee. Honeybees, one of the most loved and well known pollinators across the United States, are dying at an alarming rate. Just last year the United States alone lost nearly HALF of all its honeybee hives. That equates to a 44.1% population crash. This high rate of harm is close to the highest annual loss rate over the 6 years we have collected annual colony loss numbers. 

     This, my friends, is a colossal problem, yet there is hope on a local and tangible level. Here in the North West, those of us at Sacred Bee Tribe are manifesting our reachable goals to bring home-based beehives to local communities, businesses and stewards of the honeybee alike; which brings us to our most important matter at hand... YOUR HELP Just as the Queen Bee is not the singular producer of honey, herself, so it is with our extremely vital mission; it literally takes a Village. It literally takes a Tribe. It literally takes a Hive. 

     A huge focus for us is to provide beehives to those that want them but do not have the ability to pay for one. In essence, we are currently working with local experienced Beekeepers to enact this realistic endeavor and bring bees to the people while bringing people to the bees. Furthermore, Sacred Bee Tribe, with it's collective allies is working in and toward even greater support of the Beekeepers associations in the Greater Puget Sound areas, while simultaneously pursuing grass roots educational opportunities, for children as well as adults right here at home. 

     One in Three bites of food that each human eats depends on pollinators, depends on bees. Literally, One Third of our entire global food source depends upon the survival and success of our little helpers. Children also play an extremely vital role in this work. We are working diligently to develop an interactive educational experience to create symbiosis between our beloved pollinators and children.
